School Council

Furlong Park School for Deaf Children has an active School Council that operates in line with the Department of Education’s governance requirements. Our School Council includes elected representatives from our school community, including parents, carers and staff.

The Council meets twice each term to discuss school operations, make decisions about policies and finances, and plan for the ongoing needs and future direction of the school. This collaborative approach helps ensure strong partnerships between the school and its community.

The School Council plays an important role in supporting the work of the school and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
