Breakfast Everyday

Furlong Park School for Deaf Children offers a free School Breakfast Program to ensure every student starts the day with nutritious food and the energy they need for learning. Many of our students travel long distances to attend school and may not have the chance to eat before boarding the bus, so the program plays an important role in supporting student wellbeing.

Breakfast is served in classrooms each morning, and students can choose whether they would like something to eat when they arrive. The program helps students begin the day calm, settled and ready to learn.

Our Breakfast Program is proudly supported by Foodbank Victoria, Australia’s largest food relief organisation, who supply healthy food items to participating schools at no cost.

Each year, our students participate in a Colour Run to raise funds for Foodbank Victoria, supporting the organisation that helps make our Breakfast Program possible and teaching students the value of giving back to the community.
