Physical Education
Physical Education (PE)
Our Physical Education program provides students with access to a range of quality facilities, including a multi-purpose indoor room, a running track, a soccer field and basketball courts. These spaces support a wide variety of movement activities that build coordination, confidence and a lifelong enjoyment of being active.
All students from Foundation to Year 6 take part in a weekly one-hour PE session where they learn fundamental motor skills, teamwork and physical literacy through engaging and inclusive lessons. Once a year, we join other deaf and hard-of-hearing students from across Victoria for an annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Sports Day, where students can compete in a supportive and community-focused environment. We are also excited to be introducing a bike program, giving students opportunities to develop balance, riding skills and safe cycling habits.
Active Start
Each morning begins with Active Start, a 30-minute block of outdoor physical activity designed to energise students, support regulation and set a positive tone for learning. This routine helps students move their bodies, build fitness and start the day feeling ready and focused.
Swimming Program
In Term 2, students participate in a weekly swimming program every Friday. This program focuses on water safety, confidence and basic swimming skills, providing essential learning in a supportive environment.
