Glasses for Kids

Furlong Park School for Deaf Children participates in the Glasses for Kids program, an initiative that provides free vision screening, eye testing and prescription glasses for eligible students. Good vision plays an important role in learning, communication and overall engagement, and this program helps ensure that students who need glasses receive them quickly and without cost to families.

Qualified optometrists visit the school to conduct vision checks and follow‑up assessments. If a student requires glasses, they are supplied through the program, and the school supports students to wear and care for them during the school day. Families are kept informed throughout the process.

The Glasses for Kids program helps remove barriers to learning and ensures students have the visual support they need to participate confidently in all areas of school life.
